The car is powered by a small, twin-scroll turbocharged engine, 2.0l in displacement, paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The unit develops a healthy 290 hp troop and is linked to the industry's finest technologies, including Start/Stop.
The GTC Paris has been built on a newly designed chassis, with an updated version of the adaptive mechatronic FlexRide suspension and a front electronic limited slip differential adorning the technical aspects of the vehicle.
As you might have imagined though, the car has been brought to Paris mostly to showcase the know-how of Opel's designers. “Keeping in line with Opel’s DNA, it is an achievable dream car, conceived to showcase an energized brand,” admits the German manufacturer.
"We wanted to express the most emotional side of the Opel brand and we believe this vehicle creates an appropriate visual impact to reinforce our dynamic sporty character,” Opel’s vice president of Design Mark Adams said in a statement.
You can be a judge of that statement yourself by having a look at the photos our team shot of the car at its booth in Paris. For once, we can say that the actual car looks better the obviously edited official images of the car.
