2010 Nissan GT-R SpecV
Nissan GT-R Spec V is undoubtedly a very attractive model, especially if taking into account the success of its predecessors. However, the limited-production GT-R Spec V is rather weird when having a look at the specification list as it delivers basically the same output as the previous model but it is $72,000 more expensive. Nissan announced in January that the vehicle, which is already on sale in Japan, will cost 15,750,000 yen, 83 percent more than the GT-R, according to gizmag.com.

The Spec V is currently available through five selected Nissan dealerships across Japan, offering a choice of five colors. The European version however will be only available in black. No plans for the United States at this point, according to the same aforementioned source.

Now, you may be wondering what's with the price. Well, the Nissan GT-R Spec V is indeed upgraded but, as mentioned, no engine performance improvements that could support the price increase.

The exterior has been customized with a carbon fiber rear spoiler, carbon fiber grille and carbon fiber brake ducts. Interiors received Recaro carbon fiber seats with carbon fiber insets for several other interior parts such as the rear center storage box and the instrument panels. The car also features lightweight forged aluminum wheels designed by Nissan Motorsports International.

As you can see, carbon fiber became a priority for the new Spec V. Given the 100 kilos reduced weight versus the standard GT-R, the Spec V should be able to develop way more power. There are no official specs at this point, but gizmag.com suggests there's no power increase, so we're still waiting for a Nissan announcement.
