Japanese carmaker Nissan announced today the release of the new luxury sedan in its line-up, the Fuga. The car will be available at Japanese dealers starting November 21, at prices ranging from 3,990,000 to 5,502,000 yen ($44,676 to $61,605).

The sedan will be available with only two engine choices, a 2.5l VQ25HR and a 3.7l VQ37VHR one. The smaller unit develops 225 hp at 6,400 rpm and 258 Nm of torque at 4,800 rpm. It qualifies for the preferential tax scheme for environment-friendly vehicles.

Safety wise, the Fuga comes equipped with innovative features, like Distance Control Assist (Intelligent Pedal) System, Driving Safety Support System (DSSS), Lane Departure Prevention, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Cornering Stability Assist, as well as with already common ones: EBD, ABS or Emergency Brake Operated Pre-crash Front seat belts.

The Infiniti-like body of the Fuga hides a high quality luxury interior, with semi-aniline leather luxurious door trim with refined curved plate and wood graining, a newly designed analog clock and large-diameter meters using white lighting.

The Fuga features Nissan's new "Forest AC" air conditioning system, designed to prevent the flow of unpleasant air into the cabin while releasing a natural breezes of relaxing forest settings.
