2010 Mazda3 Pricing Unveiled

Japanese automaker Mazda today unveiled prices for the 2010 Mazda3 which officially saw daylight at the 2009 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The entry-level Mazda3, which comes with a manual transmission system, will be priced at $15,045 while the 2.0-liter i Touring 4-door version will cost $18,350. Standard features of this Mazda3 flavor include automatic transmission, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Traction Control (TCS) and Bluetooth support. Fuel economy goes as much as 25 and 33 mpg in city and highway modes, respectively.

The 2.5-liter Mazda3 Sport will be a bit more expensive, as it follows: $19,540 for the 4-door version and $20,030 for the 5-door variant. Feature highlights include 17-inch alloy wheels and Mazda's Multi-Information Display with 4.1-inch screens. In terms of performance, the aforementioned engine unit produces 167 horsepower and 168 lb-ft of torque with fuel efficiency achieving 29 mpg in highway conditions.

There will be two additional feature packages available for the 2010 Mazda3: Technology and Moonroof/six CD changer/BOSE Audio.

In essence, the Technology package will cost $1,195 and will include several features such as advanced keyless entry, push-button start, full-color navigation system, Sirius satellite radio with six months of free service plus perimeter alarm.

The Moonroof/six CD changer/ BOSE Audio package, which will be only available with the i Touring and the Sport models, adds surround sound, moonroof, six CD changer plus several other sound-enhancing features. The package will cost $1,395.

“In an economy where value-for-dollar is more important than ever, the all-new 2010 MAZDA3 proves that good things do come in small packages - and can be affordable too,” Mazda praises the new model, explaining that the 2010 Mazda will be only a bit more expensive than its predecessor.
