2010 Lexus GX460 US Pricing Released

After it was launched at the Guangzhou Motor Show in China last week, the 2010 Lexus GX460 will be on display for the first time in North America at the 2009 Los Angeles Auto Show in December. Lexus already announced the MSRPs for its second generation luxury SUV, which is expected to arrive at dealerships in late December.

According to the manufacturer, the GX will be offered in two trim levels for the first time. The base one will have an MSRP of $51,970, while the Premium version will be priced at $56,765. However, the MSRP does not include a delivery, processing and handling fee of $875.

As we said in our previous report, the second generation GX460 is powered by a 4.6-liter V8 engine, able to develop 301 horsepower and 329 lb-ft of torque. Mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift, the new Lexus SUV returns 3 percent better fuel economy, now standing at 15/20 mpg.

The exterior of the GX 460 boasts new styling features such as the rear glass hatch for easier access to the cargo area, integrated rear door handle and rear spoiler with integrated wiper. The GX color palette is also revised and includes two new colors: Knight's Armor and Claret Mica.

The quieter cabin includes new additional standard features such as heated and ventilated front seats, 10 airbags, rear back-up camera (without Navigation), Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) and full-time four-wheel drive. Safety features include the Pre-Collision System, wide-view front and side cameras, Lane Departure Alert and Intelligent High Beam. Among the new luxury options are semi-aniline leather, a heated steering wheel and heated outer second-row seats.
