2010 Honda CBF1000 Goes to the UK
According to the aforementioned source, the 1000cc inline four, which underwent a complete revamp for 2010, had been left off Honda UK's sales list due weak economy driving up the cost of the popular all-rounder. But the company has now decided to introduce the bike into the UK in 2010 at an yet unconfirmed price of £8800.
From a technical standpoint, the model has a new aluminum frame. The engine, derived from the CBR 1000RR, has an increased compression ratio (from 11.0:1 to 11.2:1) and now offers 107 hp at 9000 rpm and 96Nm at 6500 rpm.
Injection PGM-FI has been optimized, resulting in a drop of 7% in fuel consumption. Stainless steel exhaust system is also new, while braking is provided by two 296 mm discs on the front and a 240 mm disc on the rear. Combined ABS system is available optionally. The bike weighs 245 kg in full, 3kg more than the 2009 version.
CBF 1000 2010 is available in four colors: Pearl Nightstar Black, Quasar Silver Metallic, Cool White Pearl and Pearl Amber Yellow. All versions have the engine, engine covers and wheels painted in black.
