The 899 engine has a power output of 120bhp, a new cylinderhead, pistons, cams and new ignition mapping for smoother power delivery and better low speed throttle control. Other components include gold Marzocchi front forks, 320mm Brembo front brake discs.
The Benelli TnT 899 Cafe Racer carries 4.23 gallons of fuel, which brings its curb weight up from 438lbs (199kg) to 454lbs (206kg).
“We are really excited at the arrival of this great machine,” Massimo Granata, General Manager at UK Benelli importers MotoGB, said for MCN. “The 899 is £8,399 on the road and comes with two years parts and labour warranty,” he added.
When designing the 899 Cafe Racer, Benelli thought of reducing the amount of components and costs. The design of the windshield is simple, as is the instrument panel which is housed in a cheaper plastic panel. It is mounted on a steel subframe instead of one made of aluminum. The handlebars on the 899 are also made of steel rather than aluminum.
Benelli only offers the 899 in black and the 899 S in orange paint. The 899 S gets a carbon fibre front mudguard and a stylish side panel also in carbon fibre.
