2009 Ferrari World Championship, Won by Boardwalk Ferrari
- Boardwalk Ferrari wins 2009 Ferrari World Championship
- The cars were driven by Scott Tucker and Ted Skokos
- The championship is running since 1994
This year, the winner is the Texas-Boardwalk Ferrari store, a division of the Boardwalk Auto Group. It competed against six North American dealerships and put their fate in the hands of drivers Scott Tucker and Ted Skokos.
The last race, held in Valencia, Spain, found Tucker crossing the line first. Out of 14 races, Tucker won 11 and managed to score podium finishes in the rest.
"We are thrilled to have won the Team Championship against very experienced contenders,” Scott Ginsburg, Boardwalk Auto Group owner said.
“Our strategy this year was to focus on two drivers and their cars, and it clearly paid off. This win is a reflection of the time, dedication and sophistication of every single member of our Ferrari Challenge Team. Our hats are off to all the drivers in the Challenge race competition, and particularly to Scott and Ted.”
The feat was possible thanks to the fact that Boardwalk Ferrari also operates a dedicated race shop and has been racing in the Ferrari Challenge Series since 2006. The championship itself is a private race series, in which Ferrari owners are sponsored through a dealership.
