2009 Dodge Challenger SE Rallye Detailed
The 2009 Dodge Challenger SE Rallye features an aluminum block for its 3.5l V6 engine, boasting 250 horsepower and 250 lb.-ft. of torque. The six cylinder 24 valve powerplant delivers 17 mpg (13.8 l/100km) in the city and 25 (9.4 l/100 km) mpg on the highway.
The car was used by the manufacturer as a good platform for introducing of the five-speed automatic transmission with Auto Stick, who will soon become available on all Dodge Challenger SE models.
“Featuring the transmission from our HEMI-powered Challenger models, the new Dodge Challenger SE Rallye earns its stripes with a five-speed automatic delivering an exhilarating driving experience and 25 miles per gallon fuel-efficiency,” Mike Accavitti, Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge Brands director said in a release.
The interior is defined by the trapezoidal theme of the door-panel cove and gauge cluster, dark headliner and slanted shifter console, inspired by the original Dodge Challenger. Comfort and infotainment is insured by heated leather seats, uconnect gps with voice recognition, navigation with real-time traffic and Universal Customer Interface (UCI) for iPod connectivity.
The new Dodge Challenger SE Rallye starts at $26,490, including $725 destination fee and is already available for order at Dodge dealerships across the US. Production of the SE Rallye will begin in April at the Brampton Assembly plant in Brampton in Ontario, Canada.
