2,000+ HP Freightliner Truck Goes Drifting [Video]
But how about a truck? How often do you get to see a heavy duty truck drifting? Aside from the European Truck Racing Championship that is. Not too often, right? Well, if you haven't seen one yet, now you're chance. We just stumbled upon the Banks Super-Turbo Freightliner Pikes Peak truck doing some hot laps and drifting around the Irwindale Speedway.
As the name suggests, it was probably getting ready for this weekend's "Race to the Clouds", where it will compete in the ludicrous Open Division. According to YouTube user Chris Hayes, this monster is powered by a 2,000+ HP 14.0-liter Detroit Diesel engine which was enhanced by a boost system consisting of a twin screw type supercharger in conjunction with a 100+mm turbo. It's Tupercharged and it's gone mad!
Scroll below for the video, but watch your years, that engine whine is very annoying.
