Compute experts and cool cars really don’t mix very often, a fact made abundantly clear by the fact that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg drives an old Acura sedan. However, ex Microsoft boss Bill Gates does have a strong passion for Porsches, surpassed only by Jerry Seinfeld.
This car, a 1979 Porsche 911 Turbo used to be owned by mister Gates and is a true modern classic by al standards. The car has hit the auction block soon, and we were be surprised it only sold for $80,000 in Vienna, the capital of Austria.

Of course, seeing as this is a true classic Porsche, excellent for the summer road rallies, it has value all its own without taking into account celebrity ownership. It’s got a 300 horsepower 3.3-liter engine and is much shorter than today’s 911.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
