The BMW New Six or E3 signaled the rise of the blue and white roundel company from its ashes. It was unveiled during a troubling period for everyone but manage to lay the foundation for something big. It might not appeal to all of you out there but it is special nonetheless.
Therefore, when we saw this one up for grabs for such a small price, we had to share it with you guys. The Craigslist ad says it’s located in Vancouver, Canada, just above the border with the US. The price, you say? Just CAD6,500 which translates to USD$5,753.

That’s a really low price if the ad isn’t a scam. Sure, the car is a 1970 2800 model but in cases like this, the older the car is the better, because it becomes an instant collectable.

The seller claims that it’s in good condition, with no rust and that it runs and drives good. However, there are 91,000 miles (nearly 150,000 km) on the clock which could mean that if you decide to buy it, you might have to invest a little in it to get it into proper shape.

Even so, we reckon it’s a steal, considering how good it looks in the pictures. Sure, you’d have to check it in person to certain the pics aren’t misleading but even then it would be a good deal.

Being a 2800 model, the car designed by Wilhelm Hoffmeister uses a 2.8-liter inline 6-cylinder engine making 170 HP. It’s mated to a 4-speed manual transmission and should be quite a thrill to drive. Now, if only you had the money...
