smart fortwo Limited Silver Edition Launched

While preparing to launch the facelifted version of the second generation smart model at the Paris Auto Show in September, the Germans decided to offer smart fortwo fans a limited edition model on the local market. The smart Limited Silver edition is based on the passion version, but adds features worth more than EUR 2,000.

The special edition comes with Brabus styling tweaks and with an environmentally friendly micro hybrid drive (MHD) 52 kW/71 hp unit. The MHD, which is actually a stop-start system, significantly reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

The smart fortwo comes available in either stylish silver or gray metallic. Additional equipment includes the smart radio 9 with MP3-compatible CD player, a
lockable glove box and the smart drive kit for the iPhone (also known as the smart Bluetooth headset).

The smart drive kit for the iPhone is a functional support for the phone and a specially developed smart Drive App. The system allows you to store music and make phone calls via speakerphone, while also navigating with the iPhone. There are also a couple of extras, such as a Car Finder app.

As said, there have also been some special design components applied, such as the completely new 15-inch BRABUS light metal wheels “Monoblock VII”, BRABUS LED daytime running lights, a BRABUS LED brake light and the “limited silver” logo in the mirror triangles.
The smart fortwo Limited Silver is available in Germany at a price EUR 12,990.

The second generation of the smart has received a facelift that brings minor visual changes, a restyled interior and an efficiency increase for the petrol engines.
