Harry Potter star Rupert Grint, the actor who plays Ron Weasley in the successful franchise, paid a surprise visit to the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu this week to see the ‘Flying’  Ford Anglia which was featured way back in the second film of the Harry Potter series.

The ‘Chamber of Secrets' automobile is currently on display in the museum for the duration of the year. The actor has a serious love afraid with the car, as he acquired it after it was stolen, then abandoned when the thieves realized it was too well known to be sold on. He then added it to his strange collection of cars that also includes an Ice Cream Van, a modified VW Camper and a BMW Isetta bubble car.

In the movie, the little Anglia was a bog-standard car until Ron’s Dad, Arthur Weasley, enchanted it. Thus it became able to fly at speed, become invisible to Muggles (normal people) and to carry his entire family despite its modest size.

Ron stole the car from his parents on a number of occasions, once to save Harry from Dursley’s house and once more to return to Hogwarts after the gate to Platform 9¾ was sealed by Dobby. The Anglia then suffered a crash landing into the Womping Willow when returning to Hogwarts.

While at the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Rupert also visited the World of Top Gear Enormodrome to play check up on the Celebrity ‘Time Laps’ board, on which he placed 3rd in the 15th season.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
