The British division of Peugeot has introduced a special version of the 308 hatchback model that celebrates the 200th anniversary of the French brand. The newly launched model is a 200 bhp variant of the turbocharged THP petrol engine mated to a six-speed gearbox, the same as the one found on the RCZ.

The powertrain allows the car to deliver a low level of carbon dioxide emissions (159 g/km), while also maintaining good performance levels.

Visually, the car has a number of distinctive styling features, such as twin chrome exhaust pipes, rear spoiler, black carbon bumper inserts, a lower rear bumper panel with Perla Nera black diffuser, a “Sport” lower front panel derived from the 308 CC, as well as “GT” badges on the side and rear of the body.

Safety wise, the car is equipped with standard ABS, EBFD, EBA, ESP and six smart airbags. Other standard features include remote control central locking with deadlock, electric front and rear windows, radio / CD player with MP3 playback, dual zone climate control, front fog lights, leather sports steering wheel, cruise control with speed limiter, special sports GT 200 front grille and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the car is fitted with a comfort pack (lumbar support and rear arm rest), electric folding door mirrors, ambiance pack (lighting) Bluetooth hands-free telephone kit, rear parking aid, alarm, carpet mats, half leather upholstery, sports seats, aluminium and carbon interior detailing.

The Peugeot 308 GT THP 200 is available at nationwide dealerships, priced at GBP 21,995 OTR. The model comes in six different exterior body colours: Bianca White, Nera Black, Aluminium, Shark Grey, Ipanema Blue and Babylon Red, all with a Payerne black half leather interior trim.
