Dwyane Wade, was, we think, one of the first celebrities to put his name to the brand new (back then) McLaren MP4-12C supercar, back in 2012. In January that year, we reported that the basketball player was getting one for his 30th birthday from a dealership in Miami.
Two years later, the McLaren isn't good enough for him any more and DupontRegistry are announcing it's on sale for the measly sum of $799,000. That's only three times the original price of a 12C, but you'll be able to tell your friends D-Wade sat in your seat, and that's totally worth at least another dozen supercars.
If a signature isn't good enough for you, at least you could share the next link with your friends and let them see how cool the delivery process for Dwyane's 30th bash was two years ago.
In any case, Wade has a Ferrari F12Berlinetta now, which is probably why he's selling the old McLaren in the first place.
Update: The following statement have been sent to us by McLaren THE COLLECTION, regarding Dwyane Wade's car:
Dwyane Wade is not selling the McLaren THE COLLECTION gifted him for his 30th birthday. He returned the car to THE COLLECTION in exchange for another vehicle. The car is now being sold independently by an individual who bought the car used from our dealership. We were not aware that the client intended to sell the car. We believed he would keep it for his personal collection. We sincerely value our relationship with Mr. Wade. He drives several of our luxury vehicles and want to be clear that he has nothing to do with the online sale of this vehicle.
