The VW Polo is one of those cars that doesn’t come with too much personality in stock form, but does offer a lot of tuning potential. We were browsing the web, looking for some Polo tuning projects, when we came across the adjacent development, which has to be the most dramatically changed Polo we’ve ever seen.
The project comes from DC Design, an Indian aftermarket developer, and uses the current-generation Polo as a starting point. The tuner completely transformed the compact, installing a new front grille, headlight, front fascia, wheels, beefy wheel arches, side skirts, a rear fascia, headlights, as well as a rear tailgate ornament. Of course, the project also has a name: Polo Midnight.
Usually, this would be just half the story, but in this case, this is where it all ends as the vehicle’s tech side has been left untouched, which means that the bonnet hides a naturally-aspirated 1.6-liter petrol unit delivering 105 hp.
PS: DC Design recently handled the interior of a private jet so maybe they'll do something for the cabin of the Polo Midnight soon.
