Volkswagen Beetle Pickup Rendered... Again

The classic Volkswagen Beetle was more than just a two-door saloon when it was introduced right before the Second World War broke over Europe. The Germans also manufactured Afrika Korps and even pickup versions of it, but the latter are in fact very rare and pictures might be the only proof they ever existed.

Volkswagen never bothered to build production pickups, and one can't help but wondered whether they would have improved on the already successful legacy of this car. Since we'll never find out, all we can do is enjoy virtual versions of "Ute" Beetles, just like the one pictures below and sourced via Theophilus Chin.

It's not the first rendering of a Beetle pickup (you must recall the "deeply troubling" version), but it's certainly the best we've seen so far. And don't forget that some gentleman in Denmark actually owns a bespoke New Beetle pickup done by some... Germans, but not the same German over at the Volkswagen factory.
