Our spy photographers have once again caught up with the Porsche Macan SUV, the newest addition to the German automaker’s range which will slot underneath the Cayenne and will most likely be offered as an affordable alternative.
The Macan is based on the same platform as the upcoming Audi Q6 and will be a more coupe-ish type of lifestyle SUV. Power will most likely come from a range of four and six-cylinder forced induction petrol and diesel engines.
The top most model, which this likely is, will be the Macan Turbo, powered by a 375 PS V6, derived from Audi’s range but retuned to offer more performance. his would make the top Macan some 80 hp more powerful than the Cayenne base model.
The car looks more coupe-ish and will be a lifestyle choice for its buyers, who will want get across a different message than the Cayenne owners, much like the people who buy Boxsters or Caymans actually don’t want the 911.
