According to the standard Mercedes-Benz vehicle life cycle, the Mercedes E-Class was expected to receive a mid-life facelift for the 2014 model year, but our spy shooters have recently encountered such a vehicle testing.
As you can see in the adjacent images, the front end comes with a lot of camo, which means that Merc is planning important changes, with unofficial sources reporting that the styling could be inspired from that of the new A-Class.
As for the rearm, neither the sedan, nor the estate prototypes that were found on the road features any camouflage, which means that its either too early to find that, or Merc wants to focus on the front.
The revamp will also include technical changes, but no information on that is available at this point. The refresh would allows the E-Class to put up a better fight on the battlefield with the BMW 5-Series and Audi A6, which are both fresh vehicles (the Audi is the newer one).
