Our team of spy photographers decided to have its own celebration of the Lamborghini Gallardo’s 10,000 units production milestone. And what else could they do if not offer the Italian supercar the leading role in a spy photoshoot. The team headed out from its Nurburgring bungalow and also asked us to join the party.

Just as we were putting on some arched suits (just like the ones Stephan Winkelmann, Lambo's CEO, likes to wear) the guys & girls managed to catch a special Spyder version of the Lamborghini Gallardo while the vehicle was performing a test session at the Green Hell.

However, the Gallardo acted just like a topless Italian supermodel, leaving us in doubt when talking about its identity. Let us explain. The car seems to be the Spyder version of the LP570-4 Superleggera (super light), as it is wearing the same diffuser, rear bumper and rims, but, as often the case with bewildering women, is sending mixed signals by displaying a front bumper borrowed from the LP550-2 Valentino Balboni Edition.

In order to be able to tip the scales in favor of one of the models, we tried to ask the supercar out to a coffee. As she refused, we had no option other than to look under her camo clothes (we know, unorthodox practice, but we did it for you). We were struck by the Arancio Borealis paint job and concluded that we had just enjoyed an intimate moment with the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Supperleggera Spyder.

Of course, she slapped us before we even got to pronounce her full name and left in a big hurry, as you can see in the images. We were left meditating about its 5.2 liter 570hp & 540 Nm V10 engine, and its all wheel drive system. We expect her to be as "supperleggeristic" as its coupe sister, as Lambo is known for seriously putting its topless models on a diet in order to offer the same level of performance as the coupe ones.
