The new Porsche Cayman, codenamed 981, has once again been spotted on german roads, wearing its usual mix of black tape and American overrider at the back. Dynamically and esthetically, it should be a step above the current coupe, but we’re now concerned with the interior.
Judging by the interior shot that our photographers managed to take, it looks like everything has been pulled out straight from the new Boxster drop-top. Center stack has something of the Panamera in its design, but without the clutter of buttons. This car appears to be the Cayman S, judging by the exhaust, and it comes equipped with a chunky manual gearbox.
The base Cayman is expected to have the 2.7-liter flat-six with about 270 hp, while the Cayman S should come with about 330 hp from its 3.4-liter engine. Rumor has it that Porsche might eventually replace these with smaller turbocharged engines.
