The Bugatti Type 37 combines the simple forms with functionality, being based on a lightweight design to achieve performance, rather than the bulky high displacement gas guzzling monsters of the period.

Fitted with a 1.5-liter single overhead camshaft engine attached to a 4-speed manual gearbox, the Type 37 was capable of reaching a 90 mph top speed and being light, the car was handling very good and it was able to brake efficiently for that era.

The Bugatti Type 37 Grand Prix being sold via RM Auctions was inspected and documented by Pierre Yves Laugier and it has almost every original parts. Also, the car has a pretty nice history, as it was fully disassembled and stored into its owner’s house during World War II. It is expected that the car will raise between €750.000 - €1.000.000 ($984.600 - $1.312.800).

More information over this iconic car can be found on the official RM Auction webpage.
