Kia decided it didn’t have enough cars with front-wheel drive that fit the whole family so for this year’s Paris Motor Show, it brought over the brand new Carens MPV.
As you might have guessed, it’s built on the same platform as the all-new Cee’d, but offers seating for up to seven people. The Carens is a 2013 model car, and it will be produced in Europe soon, as deliveries are scheduled for Spring 2013.
When it does, this compact MPV will have a range of engines for you to choose from, with outputs ranging from 115 to 177 PS. Who knows, we might actually like it... secretly.
“The new Carens builds on the family-friendly versatility and functionality of its predecessor, and features more athletic and visually dynamic design,” says Hyoung-Keun Lee, Vice Chairman and CEO, Kia Motors Corporation. “This marks a dramatic shift forward for our MPV contender and brings the model in line with Kia’s distinctive current design direction.”
