The 2011 Porsche Cayenne has already become one of the most important names on the international tuning scene, with more and more aftermarket developers releasing modification packs for the SUV. However, there are certain tuners that have turned this into a passion, releasing kits that radically change the identity of the Cayenne.
One of the most extreme makeovers received by the car comes from the British tuner Merdad, which has turned the SUV into a coupe. Merdad announced the Cayenne 902 Coupe back in June, and now the company has released a set of real world images of the vehicle.
The SUV now comes with two-generously-sized doors, as well as with a few adjustments to the body that make everything fit. Of course, the tuning company didn’t stop here also modifying the rest of the exterior, the engine and the interior.
The Merdad Porsche Cayenne 902 Coupe is dressed in a custom body kit that includes multiple aerodynamic goodies and rides on 22-inch lightweight alloy rims that can come in a silver or a black finish. The vehicle has also received an electronic lowering module that brings it closer to the road, enhancing both handling and looks.
Merdad has played with the Cayenne Turbo’s 4.8 liter V8 engine, which delivers 500 hp in a factory stock form. The tuner lets customers choose between multiple power levels, offering between 550 and 750 hp. The top of the range engine upgrade allows the vehicle to cover the 0 to 62 mph sprint in 4.4 seconds.
As for the interior, this has been gifted with a black leather & red Alcantara finish, new trimming and a new steering wheel.
