The steampunk interior created for the MINI Countryman by Carlex Design received a lot of attention across the Internet, so we decided to see what other cool project the Polish customized had up its long sleeves.
A quick search revealed they did something extraordinary and unexpected for one of our favorite Mercedes automobiles, the CLS four-door coupe.

We’ve head of all sorts of leathers being used lately, snake, ostrich and even kangaroo, but it’s been some time since we last saw an alligator leather project. Yes, you heard us right, the hides of those scary reptiles can be turned into luxury interiors for cars, in this case for a Mercedes Benz luxury saloon.

The custom job done by Carlex Design combines normal read leather, black nappa for the seat centers and the expensive Florida crocodile hide for the dash, steering wheel, head rests and accents.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
