Even though the Focus range of models is part of the One Ford initiative, where pretty much every model sold across the world is supposed to look the same same, it came before the blue oval had the Aston Martin grille copied.
That's part of the reason why a facelift for the hatchback and sedan version of the Focus is being prepared. We've been following development of the car for over a year, which means a debut is imminent and that the changes are comprehensive.

Last year, an updated Fiesta went on sale across most of the world, its completely new front end design giving us a hint of what to expect. Our latest spyshots would suggest similar changes to the front end of the Focus, since we have the first clear view of a chromed set of inlays between the headlights.

The cool thing about the Focus is that it's already a bit of a technological leader. In Europe, it comes with a self-parking feature, low emissions engines, electric folding mirrors, lots of connectivity features and so on. But a good double-clutch gearbox and the lack of four-wheel drive availability might hinder sales a little bit.
