The contemporary Ford Mustang is so much more than just a reinterpretation of the classic pony car. We are talking about a mature ride, that not only brings a rugged performance image, but also offers actual muscle. The ‘Stang can be many things and one of them is an aftermarket icon. Even the shortest search will reveal an infinity of Mustang custom goodies, with these ranging from discreet development to monstrous makeovers.

We are here now to talk about one interesting bespoke Mustang, which not only brings custom parts to the game, but also comes with a high level of exclusivity. Ladies and Gentlemen, meet the Silver 45th Anniversary Edition Mustang. Created by Lee Iacocca... hey, wait, did we say “Silver”? Let us explain.

Back in 2009, we showed you Lee Iacocca’s custom ‘Stang. The vehicle used a bodywork created by the famous coachbuilder Metalcrafters and invited its passengers to enjoy an interior with Diamond Design leather trim.

Only 45 units of the vehicle were brought to the world. Each one of them had a starting price of $89,950 with all being defined by one main feature: their unique exterior silver finish.

However, it seems that two of the vehicles were finished in Candy Apple Red and Black, both being ordered by Galpin Ford for his private collection, as mustangsdaily reports. The aforementioned source published a photo gallery of the Candy Apple Red-dressed example and we wanted to show you the superbe pony. Enjoy the visual ride!
