The BMW 1-Series Coupe seems to be enjoying its life alongside the new generation of the 1-Series, as more and more tuners gift it with goodies, especially when it comes to the 1M Coupe model.
The freshest aftermarket package for the 1M comes from G-Power and targets the technical side of the car. Since the car is not powered by a naturally-aspirated engine, G-+power didn’t play its famous supercharging card.
Instead, the twin-turbo 3.0-liter straight six was fitted with a titanium exhaust, which is 20 kg (44 lbs) lighter than the stock one, as well as an ECU remap. Thus, the unit was boosted from 335 hp and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque to 435 hp and 590 Nm (435 lb-ft). The 0 to 62 mph sprint is now completed in 4.5 seconds, while the top speed sits at 186 mph (300 km/h).
G-Power also installed a beefier set of brakes, which come with six-psiton grabbers and 396 mm rotors up front (the tuner also offers carbon-ceramics as an option), an adjustable RS coilover suspension, as well as 20-inch Silverstone wheels, which use Michelin rubber.
