The first official images of Jeep’s brand new baby SUV have surfaced the Internet ahead of the vehicle’s debut at the Geneva Motor Show later this week.
As hinted by the numerous spyshots we’ve seen recently, including the five-minute footage from Scandinavia we’ve shown you last week, the entry-level crossover sports a boxy body that will make any Jeep enthusiast think about the larger Patriot model.

The vehicle has received Jeep’s signature vertical bar style grille, which is flanked by two round headlamps, while the taillights are square, but somewhat stylish. Inside, the Fiat touch is more than obvious. The photos below also suggest that that the little Jeep was designed to be trail-rated (the blue one has the same exterior as the 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk) and that it will become available with a removable roof that will be called My Sky.

Speaking of names, it appears that the new baby SUV will be sold under the Renegade moniker, a nameplate used for a concept car that Jeep introduced at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show. Renegade was also an options package offered on the Wrangler YJ from 1991 until 1994.

Little is known about this new Jeep, but past reports have indicated that it will be based on the Fiat 500L and assembled in Italy, alongside its Italian version - the 500X. The 2015 Renegade is likely to receive three engine options - a tiny 0.9-liter TwinAir with 105 hp, a 1.4-liter MultiAir with 160 hp and a 1.6-liter Multi-Jet diesel rated at 105 hp.

Stay tuned for more info as the crossover model breaks cover at the Geneva Motor Show.
