A survey conduced by Ford via research and consulting specialist Morpace may have revealed the entire engine lineup the Blue Oval will offer with the 2015 Mustang, as well as what appears to be a starting price for the brand new musclecar.
Shared online by Mustang6G forum member PVC, the survey includes three engine options for the 2015 Mustang. First up there’s an entry-level naturally-aspirated 3.8-liter V6 rated at 300 HP and 290 lb-ft of torque, which means the Mustang will ditch the current 3.7-liter V6 (305 HP).

The second engine on the list is the much-rumored four-potter. Described as a “2.4-liter l4 GTDI”, the new fuel efficient engine is rated at 310 HP and 310 ft-lb of torque and place above the V6. The four-cylinder unit comes with a $560 sticker. Finally, there’s the range-topping 4.9-liter V8 that churns out 430 HP and 396 lb-ft of torque and adds $1,890 to the vehicle’s price tag.

The survey also hints that the 2015 Mustang will arrive with a starting price of $23,995 and sport a six-speed manual transmission, independent rear suspension, remote keyless entry, memory seats, heads up display, and lane departure warning. According to Mustang6G, who are citing inside sources, the survey “accurately reveals the 3 engine lineup and near-exact specifications”.
