Harley-Davidson shows the Ultra Limited FLHTK machine, a beast which is more powerful, more comfortable and better-loaded with a handful of nifty functional features to make touring a more pleasurable experience.
Juts like its very name say, this bike was taken from "very nice" to "ultra", especially with all the upgrades brought in by the Project Rushmore revamping program. Rushmore bikes received a revised Twin Cam 103 engine, now transformed into a high-output v-twin.
Mated to the versatile six-speed cruise drive transmission, the power plant offer both the asphalt-burning torque needed for both mountain road cruising and fast highway hauls. And what's even nicer, the 2014 Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited will behave like this when you're solo or loaded with lots of luggage and your better half.
Project Rushmore also added a redesigned fairing and lowers, one-handed operation saddlebag latches, Reflex ABS with dynamic, electronically-linked brakes, and the Boom Box Infotainment system about which H-D says it's the loudest, clearest sounding and most intuitive such accessory ever on a MoCo bike.
Add in the state-of-the art Daymaker LED headlight and fog lamps for unrivaled night-time vision at a fraction of the energy consumption traditional lights come with. The MSRP is $28,529 (€21,785).
