The R6 was one of the predilect choices for middleweight sport bikes eversince it was born. The R6 is still one of the machines both young and skilled riders favor, in a fierce battle with the Kawasaki, Suzuki and Honda 600cc beasts.
So, what's in line for 2013? The 2013 Yamaha YZF-R6 sports a lot of technology coming straight from the race track, and this makes it a really coveted bike. 20013 brings the electronic control for both intake and throttle, making sure the rider gets the fastest and most accurate engine response to his commands.
The slipper-type back torque-limiting clutch facilitates braking and brutal downshifting form high speed, enhancing the feeling of control and prividing better handling in fast turns. Even more, the magnesium subframe shifts the weight of the bike more to the center, for better stability, while the lightweight aluminium Deltabox frame and light swingarm, back up this center-mass design.
Both the front and the rear suspensions of the 2013 YZF-R6 are 4-way adjustable: preload, high-speed compression, low-speed compression and rebound damping, for achieving the ultimate grip in various road conditions. And you get a built-in lap timer controlled by a right handlebar switch.
The new R6 will be available staring this month for a base price of $10,990 (€8,429), with the Team Yamaha Blue/White color option priced at $11,190 (€8,523).
