Interesting results at the Brno Circuit this weekend and the 11th round of the World MotoGP Championship saw satellite riders closer to the line for the starts and scoring more points than ever. While the top 4 riders were pretty much obvious, we're happy to see the GO&FUN Gresini Honda rider Alvaro Bautista finishing in the 5th position, die to Tech3 Yamaha Cal Crutchlow crashing while battling Valentino Rossi for the 4th spot.

The Englishman managed to get back on the track and was riding just as fast as Rossi, but the few remaining laps only helped him to close the gap a little, from the 20th place to the 17th, 2 positions outside the point-scoring range. Still a poor start for Crutchlow from his second pole position in his career; the front row also saw Bautista and Marquez, with Pedrosa Lorenzo and Smith starting from the second row of the grid.

With Lorenzo leading the pack for many turns but unable to extend the gap to a safe margin, Marquez kept of lurking behind at a very good pace. The two Spaniards switched places for several times, but the rookie squeezed into the front with 4 laps to go, while Pedrosa also passed Lorenzo two lap later, but finding it impossible to hunt Marquez down in the little race time remaining.

Ducati's Dovizioso and Hayden were also stuck together just like on more occasions lately, and placed 7th and 8th, respectively, behind Bradley Smith. The top 10 was complete with Pramac Ducati's Iannone showing a better health and CRT rider Aleix Espargaro.

The first Austrian team Remus Racing finished the Brno wildcard race in the last position one lap behind, with Martin Bauer gathering the first in-race data for the team. Ducati's test rider Michele Pirro, was 12th replacing Ben Spies once more, as the American had surgeries for both shoulders after the crash in Indianapolis.

The next round is this very weekend, at the legendary Silverstone circuit in the UK, with Marquez in the lead (213 points), followed by Dani Pedrosa (187) and Jorge Lorenzo (169).
