2013 Dodge Charger SRT8 Gets Old School with 392 Appearance Package

Dodge has released a special edition appearance package for the 2013 Charger SRT8 model. Called "392", the package is just an aesthetic upgrade kit for the 6.4-liter V8-powered Auburn Hills-built muscle car.

Only 392 special-editions kits will be installed on the car with only a limited amount of colors to painted it: Bright White, Billet Silver, Plum Crazy, Hemi Orange and Tor Red. The package comes with a two-tone hood, a black roof, black mirrors and black rear spoiler. But that's not all. The 392-packed Dodge was gifted with SRT's Vapor Chrome wheels, 392 badging on the front fenders and a serialized dash plaque for the instrument panel.

"It's a cool package," said Mark Trostle, head of SRT Design. "When you think of old school muscle cars, you think of black accents and this car kind of handles that in a new way. Not the whole hood is black, just a portion of it and we've done it in gloss black versus a matte black. It definitely has a presence to it."

Since there's no Panther Pink or Moulin Rouge color option to suit our taste, and actually to remind us of the good ol' Dodge-made musclecars, we'll have to go for a Plum Crazy-painted 392 Charger.
