YAMAHA WR250F (2007-2008) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Yamaha WR250F is an off-road motorcycle manufactured by Yamaha from 2001 until now. When first released, the bike shared many components and design concepts with the YZ250F motocross bike.

The bike was similar to the YZ250F but featured more controllable power, a headlight, a lightning coil, a kickstand, better noise specifications, larger radiators, lower emissions, and a softer suspension system.

In addition, the modified YZ250F was designed for enduro competitions, extreme enduro competitions, hard enduro competitions, and for the practice of these sports. The WR suffix indicated a wide-ratio transmission common to most enduro trial motorcycles.

Over its production period, the bike received numerous upgrades first used for the YZF motocross version, such as an aluminum frame and improved suspensions. Although it has a similar name as the heavier, street legal WR250R or the WR250X, the bike featured few of its components.

In 2007, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer launched the Yamaha WR250F, an off-road motorcycle in its eighth consecutive year of production. The 2007 model came with the same package as the previous model but with a new aluminum frame.

The bike's suspension system comprised a 48 mm fully adjustable inverted telescopic fork on the front with 300 mm of travel and a fully adjustable link monocross with 305 mm wheel travel.

As for the braking power, the 2007 Yamaha WR250F had installed a 250 mm disc with a dual-piston caliper on the front wheel and a 240 mm disc with a single-piston caliper on the rear wheel.
