With arguably the most famous corporate racing colors in history, the signature light blue and orange Gulf livery has been made famous by the Ford GT40 and the Porsche 917 back in the 1960s and 1970s.
Even though the Gulf Oil company was pretty much greenmailed during the 1980s, its legendary association with racing continued mainly thanks to fans who kept the famous livery alive.
We've seen Gulf Oil racing colors on everything from classic cars to modern supercars, but this is probably the first time we've seen it on a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.
Spotted in Hamburg, Germany, by car spotters Adrian and Benneth, this gorgeous-looking SLS AMG was apparently just casually strolling around the city looking like a Le Mans racer from forty-something years ago.
While many purists will probably disagree with the supercar owner's choice, we kind of dig the whole arrangement, even though back when the original Gul Oil livery was making a name for itself the three-pointed star had left motorsport for at least a decade.
