When our spies first sent us some photos of a camouflaged Mercedes-Benz B-Class W246 back in September we didn't take their word for the car being a facelift of the compact three-pointed star MPV, since the second generation of the B-Class has been unveiled as late as Autumn 2011.
In other words, we suspected that a mid-cycle facelift would be too soon in the pipeline, but further batches of spyshots have apparently proved us wrong.
What we see in the accompanying photo gallery is yet another camouflaged Mercedes-Benz B-Class, also white and also sporting Böblingen license plates, only this time with other digits, so we can only assume this is a different prototype.
Although most of the changed bits have been carefully hidden from plain view, a new front and rear bumpers design is obviously in the pipeline, as are new front and rear headlights, with the front ones expected to go the new grille-hugging route seen on the new Mercedes-Benz design language.
Speaking of the engine grille, that also looks changed compared with the current model, with a more upright and protuberant motif to arrive for the sake of pedestrian impact rules.
