Unlike the previous three generations of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the recently-unveiled W205 will no longer sport a set of xenon headlights, not in standard and not even optionally.
Instead, the base model will get Halogen H7 headlights in standard, while the optional headlights will consist of not one but two types of full LED lamps, both of which are technically better than previous xenon HID lamps.
The fun part is that since the technology between the two types of headlamps is different, the headlight design will also be different, with the overall look being changed quite drastically both in the daytime and nighttime.
The following leaked official images were retrieved by the peeps from MB Passion, but we took the liberty of pasting them against each other for a better comparison between the three types of headlights.
According to JesMB the first optional LED headlamp system will cost EUR 1029, while the top of the range LED Intelligent Light System will retail for EUR 1725 in Germany.
