Head of Engineering at Mercedes-Benz Vans is Replaced
Today it's Sascha Paasche's time to move on from his 25 years career at Daimler, who will remain Head of Engineering at Mercedes-Benz Vans for just another month or so.
“I would like to thank Sascha Paasche very much for his outstanding achievements during the years he has served as Head of Engineering at Mercedes-Benz Vans. I wish him all the best for his new period of life,” said Volker Mornhinweg, Head of Mercedes-Benz Vans and ex-CEO of AMG.
Dr. Sascha Paasche, 56, will be retiring on January 1st 2014, even though he is set to be replaced by Dr. Jörg Zürn, 55, from November 1st 2013.
Among Pasche's work at Mercedes-Benz Vans, he can be credited with updating the Vito/Viano, creating the new Sprinter and developing the Renault-based Citan, which was not exactly his best work considering its first EuroNCAP results.
