Concept S-Class Coupe's Musical Launch in Full [Video]
The Concept S-Class Coupe was – and still is - one of the most talked-about concepts at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show for two reasons. One: it's drop dead gorgeous. Two: it's not just a futuristic concept car but one that's over 90% identical to the upcoming replacement for the largest coupe in the Mercedes-Benz range, the CL.
Powered by a rather earthly 4.7-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with 455 hp - that's also found in its four-door stable mate, the W222 S-Class - the Concept S-Class Coupe is one of the most peculiar Mercedes-Benz concepts cars in recent years, which used either electric motors, fuel cell, hydrogen or a hybrid combination of the above as a powertrain.
The technology featured on the car is also down-to-Earth, as most of its onboard gadgets are available on the already on the market sedan as well. What the W222 S-Class sedan doesn't have are the stunning design features on the breathtaking Coupe Concept. We shall leave you with the car's musical unveiling now, as it's also something that's bound to enchant a certain part of the model's target audience.
