C 63 AMG Coupe Edition 507 Track Tested by Drive [Video]
The Aussies from Drive got a taste of this epic V8 in the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Coupe Edition 507 on the Californian circuit at Willow Springs and also made a nice video homage to the event.
The Edition 507 of the C 63 AMG, available in all three body styles (coupe, sedan and station wagon), sports a modified version of the M156, which sits right between the “standard” engine in the C 63 AMG and the M159-inspired engine in the C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series.
With parts taken from the M159 found in the SLS AMG as well, the modified M156 in the Edition 507 develops – you guessed it – 507 horsepower and 610 Nm (450 lb ft) of torque. Equipped with it, the C 63 AMG Coupe Edition jumps from naught to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.2 seconds and can shred the rear tires with ESP off in just slightly more time than that, as seen in the following track video.
