As some of you already know, Brabus has been milking the iBusiness name for quite a few years now, with most Mercedes-Benz cars featuring the nameplate being usually based on the S-Class, and sometimes even the Viano luxury van.
For this year's Geneva Motor Show, the iBusiness concept takes a slight detour and arrives packaged uniformly into none other than the Mercedes-Benz G 65 AMG.
This is not “ordinary” G 65 AMG though, as the nutters from Bottrop first gave it the Brabus 800 steroid infusion, which makes the standard car look just like that... standard.
Let's start with the technical specs first, even though they aren't the most important part of the car.
The twin-turbocharged, six-liter V12 that has been squeezed by AMG under that flat hood no longer delivers 612 hp and an electronically-limited torque of 1,000 Nm (738 lb ft) of torque.
After some tinkering with the exhaust system, the intake, the turbochargers and an all-new ECU, the Brabus 800 packages makes this dark off-roader push no less than 800 hp and an Earth-moving 1,420 Nm (1047 lb ft) of torque, which has been electronically-limited to 1,100 Nm (811 lb ft) of torque for protecting the otherwise heavily-reinforced transmission.
Normally, some other tuner would probably packaged it all up in a nice bodykit and some carbon bits for the interior and then leave it at that, but this is Brabus we're talking about.
Of course, they did put the Widestar bodykit on it and evidently they drenched the interior in carbon fiber and acres of Mastik fine leather and Alcantara, but they also went a bit further by also giving it the iBusiness treatment.
With four individual seats instead of a rear bench, the Brabus 800 iBusiness package for the G 65 AMG transforms the car into a very fast and very scary business lounge on wheels for someone who is a fan of Steve Jobs' Apple products. We can't wait to see the actual car at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.
