Toyota's Alphard was first unveiled in 2002 and, even if it was addressed for the Japanese market, it is also sold in Hong Kong, Indonesia and Singapore. The name of the model comes from Alphard, the brightest star in Hydra, the largest star constellation. Equipped with 2.4 liter and 3.0 liter engines as well as with seven or eight seats, there are three different versions of Alphard, as it follows: Alphard G, Alphard V and Alphard Hybrid. Even it was described from the beginning as a luxury MPV, the Japanese manufacturer rolled out in 2006 a new and more luxurious version of the car called Royal Lounge Alphard.
