VW’s British arm today announced that it is introducing DAB radio as a standard feature from the Polo to the Phaeton (no, the Up isn’t mentioned) in an effort to meet customer demand for this. Volkswagen Golf R32 Colored Using Golf Balls? [Video]

Do you like the visual treatment received by the Mk IV Golf R32 in the adjacent video? We do and we think we know how the car got it. The owner must’ve taken the hot hatch out on a golf course and asked the players to hit it with colored balls. If we use the hint offered by the mirrors, we can say that the o... Continue Reading

Couple Achieve Extreme Economy in a VW Passat TDI

Volkswagen TDIs are the most highly appreciated diesels in the States, and with good reason. John and Helen Taylor, about whom you may have heard back in 2009 when they achieved a record of 67.9 US mpg (3.4l/100km) in the Jetta TDI, have decided to put the new Passat TDI through its paces (efficiency-wise). 2012 VW Passat Crash Commercial: My Dad’s Going to Kill Me [Video]

Volkswagen’s witty marketing experts have finally found a way to use the fact that the 2012 Passat was named an IIHS top safety pick in an original way. Volkswagen Passat R-Line Launched in Europe

Not to be mistaken with the sporty ‘R’ model, the ‘R-Line’ is nothing more than a mid-level trim for the new, facelifted Passat, with a few touches to set it apart from lesser models. It gets a new, sportier looking, front bumper, chrome trim on the sills, a boot-mounted spoiler for the sed... Continue Reading

Volkswagen Reveals Three Ideas from People's Car Project in China

Volkswagen apparently had 119,000 ideas submitted to its People’s car Project that launched in China 11 months ago, but only came forth with three of them, and we have to admit that we’re not that impressed. The magnetic levitation trains in Asia must have inspired a road user, as one of the ideas subm... Continue Reading
