RENAULT Scenic (1999 - 2003) Description & History

The 1999 Renault Scenic is actually a facelifted edition of the first generation Scenic which came out in 1996. Voted the European Car of the Year in 1996, the 1999 version of the MPV got slight design improvements as well as new 16-valve engines capable of providing more powerful than the previous ones. But more important, the car abandoned its first name, Renault Megane Scenic, and was renamed to just "Scenic", a name which is still used for the models produced this year.
