MITSUBISHI Galant Station Wagon 1997 - 2001


By 1997, when the car was restyled, the Hatch had halted production to be replaced by the more practical 5-door Wagon. Providing comfortable seating for 5 and plenty of luggage space, the wagon was powered by the same engine range as the sedan including the '98 introduced GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) units. These were commonly available with 2.4 L displacements for the wagon and were mated to a manual 5-speed transmission or a choice of 4-speed automatic gearbox. GDI's also came with Galant's top-dog trim, the GLS.
