A few months after Honda's introduction of the eighth generation Civic on the North American market, the Japanese car maker revealed the sportier Si version for the coupe body style. The Civic Coupe Si comes with a naturally aspirated high-revving 2.0-liter i-VTEC petrol engine that develops 197 hp at 7800 rpm and returns 23/32 mpg (city/highway). The Si coupe has some discreet logos to set it apart from the normal coupe, but the interior is a completely different thing. With a red illuminated dashboard and exclusive Si labeled sport seats, the coupe really stands out as a capable sporty compact coupe. Underneath the body work, the suspension was stiffened, a helical limited slip differential was fitted and larger sway bars sharpen the car's steering.
