With the American’s interest in small cars increasing, the Ford Fiesta released in 2011 was a game changer.

Available as a sedan or a wagon body style, the then-new Ford Fiesta shared much with the European Fiesta.

The efficient and modestly priced compact car featured a stylish exterior design with long sharp headlights, sculpted panels and an upswept belt line. A varied choice of exterior paint colors was available for further personalisation.

Inside, the Fiesta featured a stylish interior, but with unintuitive controls. Quality materials were used throughout the cabin.

In the front seats, the occupants enjoyed great shoulder room, as well as headroom. The rear passengers had limited shoulder room, as well as legroom and the 3rd seat was rather fit for small children.

Speaking of spaciousness, the sedan offered generous cargo space for a car in the B segment.

Unusual for a small car, the Fiesta offered quite a fun driving experience with its 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine that developed 120 hp. While it wasn’t fast, it did well around town, with a quick throttle response. The power was sent to the front wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox or a dual-clutch 5-speed automatic with no manual shift mode.

Standard features included a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, manual windows, manual door locks and a 4-speaker sound system.

All trim levels besides the base were equipped with power windows, power locks and a CD-Player.

Other optional features included heated power adjustable exterior mirrors, automatic climate control, a power moonroof, keyless entry and keyless go, as well as LED parking lights. Heated leather seats were also available.
