CHEVROLET Aveo Sedan (2011 - Present) Description & History

The Aveo sedan offers a fresh, youthful exterior, sporty handling characteristics and a stylish passenger cabin that is uncommon to the segment. It is expected to appeal to young families in particular.

Under the hood, too, Aveo offers value for money, refinement, and above all, impressive fuel economy. Its redesigned engine line-up comprises three petrol and a diesel engine. A 1.2L gasoline unit is available in two displacements rated at 70 and 86 hp, whereas the 1.4L and the 1.6L motor deliver 100 and 115 hp, respectively. All manual transmission engines can be equipped to include Start/Stop functionality and electric power steering. The Aveo is the first small Chevrolet in Europe to be fitted with a 1.3L diesel engine. It comes with standard Start/Stop technology, a high-performance common-rail fuel injection system and an advanced, electronically controlled variable geometry turbocharger (with intercooler).
